'Portsmouth's Summoners  aim to serve up the ultimate alternative rock sound  - mixing the passionate energy and anthemic choruses of Foo Fighters and the huge riffs and dark moods of Queens of the Stone Age, tinged with filthy Killing Joke chugs and spacey leads for good measure.'
 

After years of obsessive, sanity-saving lockdown demoing, and studious Patreon learnings from Matt Bigland of Dinosaur Pile-Up, Summoners come formed from members of bands with numerous BBC Radio 1 Introducing plays, with an undiluted goal of creating music they - and any alternative rock fan - need to hear.

Having just played Icebreaker Festival, Summoners are due to play in the finals of the Takedown Festival Showcase in Portsmouth Guild Hall on March 16th, also finishing production on a string of 6 singles recorded at Southsea Sound with producer Tim Greaves for consecutive release.

Their first single, 'Erase Replace', a rally cry to the fear and desperation of modern times, is to be released later in 2024 alongside their self-directed and edited music video, with more (including a 3D photo-realistic motion capture music video, in collaboration with the University of Portsmouth) in production to come throughout 2024.
